I've done a few all-day sits, and they were unproductive... For the last nine days or so, I've been leaving my stand around 10:30 or 11 and then getting back on around 1:30 or so... So that got me thinking that I would have missed this guy coming by.
That is a great 6 point. This deer is a prime example on how the point restriction fails with 4 points on one side. That deer can not be shot where im from in missouri. That deer is going to go around and bread does and pass that 6 point genetic around and he is a great buck but could not be shot where im from.
I've been after this 6 pt. now for quite some time with a vengance.I finallay saw it on the morning of the 1st(Tues.) and was able to call it in to 65 yards before it hung up,turned around and left.Today,I went and checked another one of my cameras 3/4 of a mile from where I last saw the buck and and look what shows up;the same big 6.The problem I'm having trying to kill this pig is that it is a suburban buck, and it obviously roams several different woodlots.I'm staying after it and hoping for the best.
Rut...That is an AWESOME 6!!! I have a 4pt. that is basically a big forker( no brow tines) that is at least 20" possibly 22" wide and 15"-16" tall. I think he is 3 1/2 yrs. old looking at his belly and so forth but could be 2 1/2. I have seen him 2x this year and I pray he makes it and looks like your buck next year. I have never had such a hard time NOT shooting a 4pt. in all my life. ha ha I have never broken the 20" barrier. Good Luck and hope to see you in the next pic!
That's a really cool buck rut, hope you get a chance at him. I thought I was the only one after a 6 this season. Been getting pics of them since summer, bow season just started Dec 1 so it's time to get after them. Sorry for re-posting the pics.
