Ok, so I had a local guy make a new string for me. Love the new string!!! I went around the block to my local shop to have it installed. My new red eye peep has still not come in but I figured I would shoot for a while without one. I have always used the old style "cat whiskers", you know, the kind that you tie on and then pull apart into individual strings but they do not carry those anymore and he recommended the newer version of the string leeches. They are not the ones that look like an S. I told him to go ahead and I would try them out. I have never really paid much attention to them on bows before now so my "stupid question of the day" is.... are the "wings" suppose to be in line with the string travel, as if it were slicing through the air, or out running perpendicular to the string travel??? My top one is "out" and the bottom is "in" and this just doesn't look right to me??? Maybe it doesn't matter either way?? I have not noticed any difference from my old style whiskers. Are they suppose to be any better??

I dont believe it matters other than asthetics. I just stick to whiskers myself I cant seem to keep string leeches on my bow for more than a hundred shots.

Yep what he said, never had mine last very long either. Went back to the old cat whiskers.
