Well with all the rain we've had and a little tornado a couple miles from the house.... we're swamped. I was born and raised here. I left for a lot of years for the service and living other places.... but this is the worst I've ever seen. We probably lost all of our little fish in the hatchery. Right now everything is under water. We were able to get in and stablilize tanks this morning and tie them off....but They're floating and pipes have all come loose. Lost a ton in the process. We were working in chest waders and went over the tops. It's gone up 3 feet at least since then so we predict all is lost for the year. We'll get some fish already hatched from Vermont and stock them but not the 60,000 we had intended to stock.... probably more like 25000. Wicked water levels. It is kind of exciting to see though... but I'm on real high ground. LOL Camp grounds and campers all along the creek are wash outs. I mean some BIG campers..

Man, that's a bummer about the fish.

Here in Central Illinois a lot of the fields are flooded and it will be at least a week before we can get into the field to plant but not a big deal.

Southern Illinois is hit bad with high water. Cairo, Paducah, Metropolis.. I heard the river floodwaters are miles and miles wide in some areas.

We had two bowfishing tournaments scheduled for this weekend on Carlyle Lake. That's a reservoir lake, they are limiting the water going out of the lake to try and keep the folks downstream from being overwhelmed.. but there is so much water coming in that all the ramps will be underwater so the USACE is closing the lake.

The Muzzy Classic (big bowfishing tournament) was supposed to be on this weekend too down on Guntersville in Alabama. The tornados took out services in the area so that tournament is off too.

There's some serious loss of life and property down that way. :(

I'm am disgusted, angry, sad, depressed, bewildered, astonished, and everything but optimistic or happy.

Never seen anything like this. I made the mistake of calculating how much I'm down over average year to date through april. Basically .... I'm *&^%#@
