I also don’t know what a catch is. I think there is NO dispute and everyone would agree the ball was moving? That means no catch based on many recent plays the last couple of years. That play shouldn’t have stayed as called on the field because of that ball movement! Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Belichek out coached himself benching Butler. That was a game changer. The Eagles learned what Atlanta and other teams leading the Pats failed to learn, keep your foot on the pedal. Don’t play not to lose when you have the lead.
Isn't that what the Falcons tried to do when Ryan was stripsacked in the second half last year? Matt Compound bow Carbon arrows Fixed broadheads
Pederson coached a hell of a game and those two play calls were definitely ballsy but let's be honest if they didn't work everyone including eagles fans would use a different word than ballsy.
No risk, no reward! Gotta play to win! Sometimes it works, other times it doesn't. Belichek knows this better than most coaches.
I thought the throw to Foles was absolutely insane, you take the points on 4th down. Conventional wisdom out the window.
He certainly didn't Andy Reid it. I think there's a lot to be said about keeping the foot on the pedal and putting the defense on the defensive. Don't let them feel like they got a win by forcing a punt or field goal. I liken it to a basketball team that presses for the entire game. The pressure eventually wears on the other team and they start to breakdown and make mistakes.
Well, not how I expected the outcome, but a great game otherwise. The clement TD, I think if it was ruled incomplete initially, it would have been called that, but it was called a TD, so, no use upsetting the masses. Ertz TD, TD the whole way. I really wish they would incorporate a 30sec. limit to reviewing plays, if you can't figure it out in that amount time, it becomes nitpicking. The reviews are too slow, and the game gets boring. Overall, Patriots defense was not good, Eagles just happened to make the right play at the right time. Well done, all 60 min was exciting. ....and Brady is a terrible receiver.
You know how hard it is to catch a ball under that amount of stress and angle when it isn't something you ever do? This isn't Pop Warner 3rd grade football.
Rumor has it, that Malcolm butler broke curfew Saturday night, and came back to the hotel reeking of marijuana. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
For once I think the Patriots were on the wrong end of the calls (easily). I even thought the last throw to Gronk could have been called interference.
Until you watch the all 22 and see the constant push offs by their WRs and holding by the lineman. One play where Brady escaped the pocket, the Eagles defender literally got tackled. They don't highlight that stuff on broadcasts. Matt Compound bow Carbon arrows Fixed broadheads
Speaking of Brady, I think this was his last hooray. His legs are going, he was never fleet of foot, but he could move a bit. When he tried to scramble he was slooowwwwwww. He looked like Peyton his last year at times. He has lost the zip on the ball.
Anybody else ever buck up the $150 to get coach film from the NFL network? A complete different way to watch a game it is what it says tape on each play from different angles and isolation.
I saw that . I don't know what to think . If it's true ,Butler will look like an ass for saying he didn't know why he was benched ........ especially after Belichek never mentioned it and kept it out of the media
The Patriots haven't seen this much season to season turnover since the year they lost Crommel and Weiss....took a while to get back into their normal flow. Add in some of the players also in flux now too I suspect this could have been the last Brady/Bellichek Super Bowl. If that is true, as much as I am not a fan...truly could be the beginning of a HUGE shift in the NFL.
