I'm down here in Alabama and looking for something different to use on a small piece of land. Had a man tell me today that Sunflowers are deer magnets and grow easily if planted before a good rain. Wanting some feedback on if deer really eat sunflowers, if they are good to use for small plots and how to grow them?

I am from Wisconsin and I have tried sunflowers and deer ate them when they got about 6 inches tall. Havent heard anything bad about sunflowers. Worth a try. Good luck and keep us updated.
