    Summit has on there website a new climber that folds flat. Has anyone heard when the release date will be?

    I just checked them out. Looks like more noise to me with the folding arms.

    Maybe not if you put some padding or tape where the stand comes together

    If i'm not mistaken, I think they've had a stand that does that out for a few years.

    You are correct. They have offered them off and on over the years. I currently have one and it's nice for packing in because the weight is more centered and it doesn't tend brush into things like their regular climber. All in all it's a decent stand.
