I bought a used summit viper climbing tree stand last night and I was just wondering how to find out if it can hold up to 300 pounds. The seller said the stand is more than a year old and is aluminum.

According to Summit's website, the Viper is rated to hold 300 pounds.

I have one that is four years old and is rated for 300 lbs. As long as the cables are rust-free and in good shape, go hunt!

That is a pretty good price - about a $100 cheaper than those things normally run. Love me some RK!
