For starters I haven't bought it yet. I've been shopping for one to find the best price. Average price is roughly $279.00. I came across one on Rural King's website which is on sale right now. I then got on the Bass Pro website and did the live chat with a sales rep inquiring about price matching (Rural King has no stores in NOVA and I was going to Bass Pro today.). Now, they roger'd up to price match the stand for $187 and some change and hoping I get my additional military discount. Merry Christmas to me!! Just wanted to make a post for anyone looking to upgrade their stand.

Summit Viper SS Climber Tree Stand 81066 : Rural King

*****Note, yes Rural Kings normal price is $249 but they charge $40 and change to ship the stand so if you don't have the actual store close, then you need to price match to the nearest dealer to you.

    Hope this helps!!

That's a great stand! It was the first climber I ever purchased and still use it today.

I just purchased my viper sd last Sunday, used it twice and I love it. Pretty light to carry, and super comfy. Good purchase

Been using a gorilla climber....way to heavy with my pack, noisy and too much of a hassle to get set up and tear down.

All right after several minutes of arguing, I was able to get the price match saved 92 bucks. Really stood my ground they said it was too much of a discount and they only do local competitors. Then I pulled out my conversation with the online rep who told me I could come to the store they had to concede. So early Xmas from the wife to me and looking forward to being up in the tree!!

After assembly, absolutely love the stand. 100 times faster in set up and tear down compared to the gorilla. twice as light and highly recommend everyone to get this one if they use climbers!! Will do a little prac ap tomorrow to adjust stirups and all. I lucked out on the price, also really looking forward to chilling in the egg shell seat. I'll probably conk out in the tree.

I shot my first deer with an NAP Killzone and I am so impressed! The arrow blew right through him leaving a massive entry and exit wounds with a huge blood trail. The deer didn't make it 40 yards before he crashed. What an awesome broadheads!
