So I am in the market for a climber. I am a pretty big guy 6'-5" 250 lol.. not ideal for hunting. I see this is the largest tree stand Summit makes, and I have never heard a bad review on Summit climbers. Also I am looking at the Goliath. Either would seem to work. But Titan is the largest.

Now could anyone who uses these or other Summit stands give me some input. I want to be comfortable, nothing is worse then a tiny seat and not being able to move. Any advice would be awesome. Thanks!

Ya I've had that one set in mind for awhile, should workout well. I have never used a climber... Is it tough getting the hang of it? I plan on practicing.. up and down and up and down. S

I'm 6'4" and 262. I have the Goliath and its fine early season when you don't have thick cloths on. You will run run into issues once it turns cold because we don't have much room between the bars and our cloths. With the seat from Summit you end up sitting lower than the bar and I found it quite snug with the cold weather gear. Couple of solutions that I now use and I hope you will like...first only use the provided seat during gun season when you don't need to stand. For bow season swap out the seat and install Hazmore Silent Seat. Next...get rid of the strap that goes around the upper portion of the stand and replace it will the two strap stabilizers from Third Hand Archery. (actually you could just get another strap from summit; i use the extra to bind up my cloths while I pack them in) Finally install his tree stand bow holder (product is built like a tank!!!). No more need to pull the bow up...just climb with it. Hope this helped and good hunting!!

Oh...Only difference between the two stands is the platform dimensions. Upper part is exactly the same.

ABSOLUTELY LOVE MY TITAN! Plenty of room for us big guys. Everyone seems to complain about weight but pesonally I dont have a 5 mile hike to my hunting spot and a few extra pounds on my back are well worth the comfort and room once in the tree.

Awesome! Well I ordered it last night. Went out today and trimmed up some perfect trees and shooting lanes. Can't wait to get it and start practicing... Never used a climber. I heard its not too hard. The trees I trimmed up are clear to about 13'-18' I think that should work.

I'm 250 and about 6ft, I use a Summit Viper SD. I have plently of room to move around. I was looking at the Titan but the weight difference sold me on the Viper cause' I hunt in the mountains of South Eastern Ky and I usually do alot of hiking to get to my spot.

I understand that, my longest hike to my properties is going to be about 500yds... 25lbs doesn't seem like anything. It was shipped today! Can't wait to get out and start practicing with it.
