I have been working on my summit tree stand and it has the old straps you put over your feet and clime. I want to put stirrups I wanted to see if anyone has gone with the summit stirrups or the Api
I have the summit sitrrups and I really like them. My only gripe is that they can squeak slightly on my rubber boots when wet. There are a million of ways to prevent this though so I really have nothing bad to say about them. Check the wing nuts every now and then though because I had one back out and the stirrup fell right off while climbing up a tree.
My stirrups came with the stand. Mine have been on for a couple years now and haven't moved at all. Also don't squeak on my rubber boots.
I absolutely love the Summit stirrups along with the bungee cord that wraps behind your feet. My old climber that is now retired had a setup where I had to strap my feet down and that was a huge pita compared to the stirrups.
I love the stirrups on my Summit. Just bought the stand before the season and idk how I lived without them. They are so easy to use!
