I have the summit bushmaster and summit open shot. The open shot is just a little lighter and smaller but I like the bushmaster more. Both are easy to pack in set up and climb but the bushmaster is a little more comfortable. Quality of both is good and they are quiet.

Both K and I use open shot stands. Light enough for me to pack all over and yet it's big enough that Kendall hunts comfortably from one.

I have and older Open Shot. I had to make some modifications to it to make it comfortable. It looks like they improved it since then. It is a very good bowhunting stand. With no armrests there's no chance of hitting your lower limbs. BTDT X2 and missed 2 deer on account of it.
Found the pic of mods I had to make to mine.

How out of shape are you?

I'm old and fat and have a bad shoulder but still use one easily enough. (well, 'easy' might be a stretch.. but I get up and down trees just fine)

I would make sure I had the stirrups. They are an EXCELLENT accessory.

It is a great stand. This is the climber I use; I don't use it often, but when I do it is fantastic. Its very light and easy to climb with. The stand is very stable on the tree to.

Climbing with it is not hard at all. Like Christine stated, you have to be extremely out of shape to think that it is difficult to climb with this stand.

For $170 too that is a really good deal. I'd pull the trigger if I were you. Good luck!!!

Look at the Razor ss. It has the bar in the front to help climb, but then you can can flip it down and have an open front. Not as open as the other stand, but it is a option.

I have the Summit Open Shot top with a viper platform. Works great and comfy too. ( you can buy a bigger platform from Summit to have more standing room ). i have used a sit/stand climber for 20yrs so, it was a little different climbing the first time.

I have the Vipers and love them, but curious about the open fronts. Think is would be much easier to hunt from.

I have the Razor SD and absolutely love the climbing bar and the fact I can use it to climb easy, and then fold out of the way for an open front. Works well for me.

My family has 2 of them and we love them! It's comfortable and smaller so its easier to carry! Wouldn't buy any other climber!
