Been looking at these and Lone Wolf sit and climb. Who has tried or owns the Goliath? And what do you think about it. Big guy here, 6' 285#. Also the Summit 180 looks pretty good. I kind of like the facing the tree option, but wonder how comfortable it would be for an all day sit. Comfort and safety are my 2 main concerns. I want to be able to sit all day and always feel sfae and stable. Thanks.

Cheeta, I have a Summit Goliath and love it. I cant compare it to the LW cause I have never used one. The comfort in these stands are Great and would be good for those all day sits. Mines several years old and I think they have improved them since the design of mine. Im 5'-10" 193 so I really dont need the bigger size but I got a great Deal from a bud on here (Tuco) and couldnt pass it up. I do need new shrink tube on the cables that I will replace before next season.

I own a Goliath and don't sit in anything else. I'm 6'1", 210 lbs and I just love the extra room and comfort. Its a good stand. I too need to buy new cables with the shrink wrap coming loose.

I don't have a Goliath, but from years of using a Summit and a recent "battle" with a Lone Wolf, I can offer this.

Get a Summit! They are just flat out easy to use, not matter the model. And, if you plan on spending any amount of time in a tree, you'll appreciate the comfort.

I personally owned and used a Cobra X4. Sold it and bought a Lone Wolf SC, used it for one season, sold it and bought a Summit Bushmaster. I prefer the open front design. Plus, I just saw that Summit offers a gun rest that can be mounted on it if I choose to use the stand in our gun season.

The Lone Wolf...well, IMO, is a torture chamber.
