Summer concerts....who's going to see who, when and where!!

My wife and i are breaking out our fun sides this year for a change and are going to several concerts! She runs a ticket company so we decided it's finally time to take full advantage of her job!!

this friday night: Mohegan sun arena CT Brantley Gilbert!

This Saturday night: Gillette stadium, George Straight with Tim Mcgraw

June 19th: Dierks Bentley

August 8th: Alan Jackson

August 9th: Lee Brice

August 30th Thompson Square

also in the works: Josh Turner, Chris Young, possibly Jason Aldean at fenway park...but he is a little

Annual event for us that gets crazier and crazier each year we go.

 

last concert I went to was.......Grand Funk Railroad in 2006. Before that....here, let's make it easy. I haven't been to a concert with a popular band for the time since I went to the Monster's of Rock Concert in 1985 in Germany.

 

I am more of a blues guy.

Nice lookin schedule swamp stalker, seen Brantley a couple times, really good. Who ever is playin at the Sandwich Fair in Illinois is who I'm going to see, nice and close. Looks like y'all are going to have a blast though!

 

I may be seeing Tom Petty in September, no concerts in our plans during the summer.

I just went to Lyle Lovett in a small venue in Des Moines a few days ago. It was a great evening. Some of the best musicians in his band you will ever see. Some friends of ours are fans and I went reluctantly. I left wondering when and where I could see them play again.

 

I've heard he puts on a good show. I went to see Vince Gill against my will earlier this year. He and his band were incredible musicians. Very good show, I'd definately go see him again.

 

X2, we go VIP on tickets and camping, it's our one splurge a year. I actually live in Detroit Lakes so it's fun to watch all the people file in and leave again on Sunday.

Actually we did another splurge this year too, my wife has an unhealthy obsession with Eric Church so we have VIP tickets to see him in Minneapolis in September.

WOW is all i have to say after seeing Brantley Gilbert live!! I have been to many concerts, rock, metal, country, and i have to say his style of country is AWESOME live. the place was practically sold out, and one of the loudest and friendliest type of a rowdy crowd as it gets. His band is very talented, mixing in a few intro to cover songs here and there to get the place rocking more. Enter sandman intro (metallica) Blind from Korn, and a little disturbed. He also played his songs "my kinda party" and "Dirt road anthem" which i think is awesome for him to still do. I highly reccomend seeing him live!!!!

I saw One Republic a month ago. We saw Motley Crue at Summerfest with Alice Cooper, scored 3rd row seats for that show and it was beyond awesome. We still have Train and a few others the wife bought tickets for.
