If you're scouting in the middle of a hot summer day and jump deer. Is it safe to say that's probably a bedding area or am I way off track?

My understanding is they bed closer than normal to their major food source during the summer. So it might hold true into early fall, but I would definitely count on a south facing slope in the dead of winter being their bedding area.
