I have a 7 year old son...and a 5 year old son...(will be 6 in Dec) what kind of bow should I start them out on? they have little bows that are not accurate at all and are mainly just toys...but I wanna get them started on some decent bows..... what would yall suggest and what kinda draw weight? or should I just give it a few more years?
everyone is biased with the type of bow they would shoot or pick for a situation like this, so youll probably get a variety of answers. i dont have kids. im only 17, lol. but i do have a younger cousin that took an interest in archery when he saw me flinging arrows in the yard. for christmas a few years ago, the family threw some money together and got him a bear bow. it was a youth model of course. these bows are accurate and very fun to shoot in the yard. he has taken a few rabbits with that little bear! ive noticed that for these bows to be as accurate as what is wanted, they need to be tuned in more detail than we would tune our more advanced speed bows. thats just my two cents. it may not be worth much, but i tried to help. goodluck
