I got some gift certificates for Fathers Day and I'm looking for a good bag target. Any suggestions? Is the Hurricane a decent choice. Blessings.........Pastorjim
I had used the Eternity Target by Morrell years ago, with great results. I just picked up a Yellow Jacket, also by Morrell, and it seems nice, though I haven't shot it enough of course to know how long it will last. Seems well made, the arrows come out easily, and the replacement covers are pretty easy to find. I can say that a friend bought a Reinhardt bag last season and was disappointed, in it, as was I in the Redhead Magnum. Hope this helps. V

I bought a neon green hurricane target recently from Cabela's. Not happy with it. Arrows are extremely hard to pull out. Must use arrow puller. Very tempted to return it before I get too many arrows into it. Sad. Such high hopes. Not sure if my arrows have anything to do with it, but I am only shooting 65lbs
I don't use bags anymore lol its either the big target we built or recently ive been killing the glendel Sent from my VS980 4G using Tapatalk
Just build a diy lifetime target, we have 6 people at ours almost everyday with compounds and crossbows and never had a problem. Used some 2x4's, some old clothes and a new 5 dollar tarp from walmart every once in awhile for the face.we blew through store bought targets so fast we had to do something different. Plus it's 4'x4'. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Go to your local feed mill and ask for some cloth feed sacks... they will probably give you a couple of them. Fill them with light weight rags and voila.(don't use cotton... too heavy if it gets wet), you can tape them closed with duct tape and they will last a long time. Of course, this only works for field tips. I don't practice with broad-heads except to verify they hit the same as my field tips.
I bought a Morrell Elite at my local archery shop for $75 this spring. I have both the Morrell Elite (online $90 shipped) or the Big Green Targets Stopper ($55 shipped). I would buy either one again.
I may butt heads with thirdhandman about harnesses but I will give props to his bag targets and target faces. They are excellent.
Coop: I do appreciate the compliment. Who knows, hopefully down the road we may agree on other things too!
I have had 2 of the green hurricane bags. the first one did really well but the latest one, not so great. The front got ripped up pretty quick and I keep it out of the elements, only get it out to shoot. I'll be in the market very soon. Thirdhandman, I may be looking you up. Do you have a website?

18 in 1 is a great target. They work especially well with broad head's. For me they are a little harder when pulling arrows than from a bag target and a lot more expensive than our line of rag targets.
The cost of the 18-1 pays for itself once you have not had to buy another bag because your old one wore out Mathews Chill X NAP Carbon apache HHA optimizer Pine ridge stab CX Maxima Hunters
