if been a long time Maryland basketball fan, and Texas A&M football fan... So I find Duke basketball fans, and UT(exas) football fans the most annoying. Goes with the territory I guess.
when it comes to college basketball, duke fans are the worst... i don't even follow college basketball, but the coach k sycophants are pathetic...
No one said Bama is overrated. For instance our very own annoying Bama fan sevenmag, wasn't bumping his gums a couple years ago when Bama wasn't playing as well. The last couple years he has. Blame him, not everyone else! Don't take it personal Mr. Sevenmag, but you are a big time homer when it comes to talking college football. No wait, you aren't a homer you live in IL?
now wait a second... I'm no more a bama homer than many others about this place are OSU homers and etc... I may be a homer, but I fully admit when bama plays bad and don't deserve a win... this year bama didn't deserve to be #1, they played poorly and it showed... imho, the players were being arrogant and laid back and the rest of the sec got a lot better, particularly Ark and Auburn (and I still contend that Mallet is the best passer in college football, I wish bama had him)... I remember the dark years between stallings and saban, bama was a top25 program at best and deserved to get beat by my alma mater a few years back (NIU, who seems to be developing lately into a decent program, they stomped fresno in their bowl game) when they played... I think it was a 2pt game iirc... you overestimate my homerism brotha...
Denial...a sign of homerism. There is help available, but first, you have to admit to yourself that you need help.
funny, I don't see a single denial about it... maybe you're denying and then projecting that denial??
Rumor has it from the gtg a couple years ago, you have a Paul Bear Bryant tramp stamp..... Just say'n.
this just on from espn...ebay is reporting "5 sugar bowl rings up fo sale" seller is cheeta-tat-2...hmmm.. could it be??
Certainly this is not directed at me, I bet 1 post cannot be found where I am just blind to the fact of anything to do with BAMA...when we suck we suck, etc... People say the fan base is unbelievable, the masses move when bama wins etc...I sat in Bryant Denny 4 years ago and watched games where the stadium was not full. Again, there are some fans that make it bad for everyone, but those guys are everywhere. I think the new BAMA fans that are pissing ya'll off are the homers who jump on the wagon and off again just as quickly. I bet half those guys are now wearing that ugly @$$ orange and yelling go war tigers/eagles (makes me laugh everytime) and saying they just wnat to keep it in the SEC or the state. I hope Oregon hangs 60 on em, to heck with the SEC or Auburn, that is our rival and next to Tennessee (shout out to Phillip) I hope failure on the more than anyone else. If you read Jason Whitlocks article on fox sports today about maning a new Michigasn coach there are some comments below from some tOSU/Michigan fans that would make the entire fan base look like azzes, but I would never lump everyone into that group.
Michael you know deep down you want the trophy to stay in the SEC. It's ok, you can admit it here. You're among friends.
I'm a little late to the party on this one but.... I find it ridiculous that these players were allowed to play in the game. In my opinion, the decision is a MAJOR embarrassment to both the NCAA , Ohio State, and Jim Tressel. Another thing I always hear is that the Big Ten isn't on the same level as the SEC, and the past bowl records prove it. Now by my own admission I am not the most knowledgeable college football fan out there, but it seems like the bowl environments are suited more for the SEC's style of play. If OSU had to play LSU in the upper Midwest in an outdoors stadium for the National Championship a few years ago, would LSU still destroy the Buckeyes?
I have made the point many times that the cold weather teams are playing power football and ball control for 1.5 months before bowl season, then have to change what has been successful for them to get to the bowls to be able to compete in a warm environment. But, when it comes down to it... If they can't get back to September football for the bowl game it is their own fault. Even if the warm weather team is basically playing a home game in their own climate. If we ever have a Div. 1 playoff system, I cannot wait to see some warm weather schools play in the cold in December and January. Imagine a USC or UF in Madison Wis for a playoff game. Not saying Wis would win, but it would sure be an interesting game to watch. Every major conference has home bowl games except for the Big 10.
That's because the midwest is hell on Earth and nobody wants to travel there ETA: But y'all do have good hunting
Not true, we have some of the best Summer and Autumn weather you could ever ask for. Sure winter sucks, that I cannot deny.
