I wonder how many tattoos Pryor can get for a Sugar Bowl MVP.

Sucks he's allowed to play, actually (along with the others).

Helluva a way to get to 1-9.

If OSU wins, the Arkansas receivers are the MVP for OSU.

    Pathetic, Piggies, absolutely pathetic.

Agreed the Arkansas WR have dropped some very catchable balls. Although I must admit OSU is playing a really good game.

There's no such thing as an SEC homer. SEC fans hate the in-conference teams more than out of conference teams.

'Course....that's because they usually stomp the **** out of the non-conference teams.

Kinda like with OSU, for example.

    31-26....this is gettin' good.

Yes it has gotten interesting! I'm going to be dead tired at work tomorrow because of staying up late watching this game.

No doubt about it, if Arkansas has played a decent game, they'd have won, but the
"SAFETY" was a very poor call. They've got to look at forward progress, and make the right call on that play. Even at that, it was a very poorly played second half by OSU. But I wouldn't expect any different, with Jim Tressel as the coach. Just enough to win, don't overdo anything.....:throw:

    Scott,
Were I the head coach of OSU, I'd have put ALL of those guys on the bench, for the Sugar Bowl, and Allstate could kiss my a$$$$$$$$. Were it not for the $$$$ they were expecting to rake in, the NCAA would have suspended those 5 for the bowl game, and it would have looked a little less "suspicious."

Call me a "hater" but I'm still not very happy with Jim Tressel's coaching. With all that talent, they SHOULD be better, and if he had HALF a brain, he'd have put TP at WR mid-way through last season and had TP in a position where he "legitimately" might have been a Heisman Candidate!!!!

Only by the hair on his A$$$$ did Tressel get that win!!! OSU didn't deserve that win, and TP CERTAINLY didn't deserve the MVP!!! Sanzebacher should have been the MVP!!!! That TD catch was AMAZING, and being there to get the TP FUMBLE and recover it for a TD was PARAMOUNT in the win!!!

Tressel took the cowardly way out (on the suspensions), putting it back on the players (asking them to commit to coming back next year). That's only provides plausible deniability...............if you assume your fans and critics are brain dead. He insults my intelligence.

Is there anyone on the planet that thinks all 5 of the players suspended are returning? Do you think Tressel thinks/thought they are/were? Thank you.

My thoughts...most have already been said

TP threw some average passes that his receivers mainly the sanzenbacher guy made some great catches...
Arkansas wide receivers were horrendous, dropping several passes.
Tressel would drive me nuts if I were a fan, he takes the foot off the gas and tries to run the clock out at the beggining of the second half.

I do have to say though BOBBY PUKETRINO did his best to hurt my Atlanta Falcons, quitting after vick got in trouble, leaving in week 13 and basically signing with Arkansas the next day...Alabama beat em, and they choked on the biggest stage in their schools history...HAHAHA could not have happened to a nicer guy than PUKETRINO

The man averages 10+ wins a year and you are unhappy with his coaching? He is 9-1 against Michigan and you are unhappy with his coaching? The man is 6-3 on the largest of stages, BCS bowl games and you are unhappy with his coaching?

I supose you want Joe Bauserman to throw passes to TP? That is so hairbrained it isn't even laughable!

Other than the fact those kids did break NCAA rules I could care less that they sold their stuff. I look at it as it was their belongings to do with as they pleased.

Safety looked like the right call to me. The ref never blew the play dead, and the OSU player disengaged with the defender and starting running again, and then was tackled in the endzone. Safety.

    WR? Come on...

    TE maybe

Don't let your obvious hate for TP get in your way of proper judgment. TP deserved the MVP. Arkansas couldn't stop him on 3rd down because of his ability to run.

    Someone please help me understand.
As far as the game its self, I didnt have a dog in the chase. Although I do like the SEC. I have nothing at all against Ohio St. Nothing. Zero. Zilch.

But how were the players allowed to play for breaking rules. Next year may never come for them. (NFL Draft)
Also, did Jim Tressel know about this last year? Where does that fall in to the mix of things. Seems like he should be responsible for something.
I agree the NCAA has some crazy rules, but most of them are in place for 1 reason or another.
    Just wondering...

To an$wer your que$tion, I'm not really $ure why the NCAA allowed the$e player$ to play in thi$ game. I'm $ure the $ugar Bowl and E$PN would have been fine if they $at out. They ea$ily could jump to the NFL (even with their promi$e) and $kip their penalty.

I also thought the NCAA handled the Cam Newton stuff badly too.

    Ditto on the $$$$$$$$$

Agree also on Newton. But at least the decission was made (right or wrong) early enough for Auburn to swin or sink on there own.

I have no stake In this fight In the least as I don't follow college football much but It burns me that these players were able to play In the sugar bowl. I can just about gaurantee you It was a business decision. Ohio State and the NCAA blew this one big time!!!!
