Hearing rumors that Charlie Strong may offer the Texas OC position to tOSU's OC Tom Herman.

If he want's to go back home, Herman has his shot. Will be interesting to follow along. There is absolutely no news on who the new DC or Co-DC or safety coach (not even sure what position the new coach will fill yet. I hope to God it is Fickells job as DC) will be in Cbus yet.

It appears James Franklin is going to PSU. Poor Vandy.

I bet Franklin causes Urban to have health issues again.

But Sarkisian called the plays...not Kiffin. Sark was Asst. HC/QB coach, Kiffy only had the OC title.

I'm surprised with the rape scandal at Vandy last offseason that PSU would hire Franklin. With that said its been fun watching the meltdown on the 247 Vandy board.

Absolutely not... He is the only D coach that was any good. He was the best recruiter on the staff and tOSU had the most sacks of any team during the regular season and was top 10 in rush defense. His unit was top notch.

You don't get a gig in the NFL after three seasons of being a college coach if you aren't a badass.

I laugh at everyone calling this a bad idea, a joke etc...Saban has total control and no ones ego is allowed through the door. We just got a stud recruiter, and play caller. It may implode and it may work, but to compare his slimy ways to any other coach is laughable. Puketrino and Kiffen proved one thing this week, just like players if you can get it done....you will always find work. For the record, tide fans is in meltdown about this, calling it anywhere from great to the end of time.

Saban shares the same agent as Kiffen, and they have been close for a few years. Besides Kiffen has a smoking wife, nuss does not!!!

I personally think the move is so we can land a stud duel threat QB. After missing on James and Coker, as well as a few others we needy a change in philosophy.

Gary.....only thing I can say is buss is either on or off, he WILL NOT change mid game, no matter what the hell everyone else is seeing.

I'm not sure why anyone would think its stupid for Sabin to hire Kiffen?

Like him or not...Lane has been a very successful Offensive Coordinator and Recruiter in the past.

My guess is Sabin knows a lot more about running his team than anyone in the water cooler section :)

    Actual numbers for Bama O,
    Raw points/game
    2013: 38.2
    2012: 38.7
    2011: 34.8
    2010: 35.7
    2009: 32.1

    Offensive points/possession:
    2013: 2.76
    2012: 2.89
    2011: 2.62
    2010: 2.72
    2009: 2.35

He was on more than any others, Saban was supposed to move to the spread, Kiffin is not a spread guy. bama's new OC got fired on a bus. I still cannot believe Saban hired him.
