Tonight me and my buddy had a great night! We went out, him hunting and me filming, on a beautiful night. We had temps in the 50's and winds out of the ENE which was perfect for this spot. It just felt like a great night to be in the woods. We were sitting there for a while and really hadn't seen much. Around 6:30 we had our first deer pop out right in our food plot out of no where. It was a little spike. We was feeding around for a while when he picked his head up really fast and looked over to the treeline. Sure enough there was one of the deer we wanted to shoot. We simply called him "the messed up deer". He came out in perfect daylight and great camera light. He came into the food plot at exactly 40 yards and was broadside, maybe quartering slightly away. He took a step as if he was only going to get farther away so my buddy told me he was going to take the shot. The buck was feeding and was calm so he released the arrow and it hit perfect. He double lunged the deer and he ran about 75 yards and went down in the field on film. What a great hunt and i couldn't have been any more thankful to have enjoyed this hunt with great friends and to have captured it all on film. Screen shot from some of the footage
Very Nice. That's a hunt you will never forget. Congrats to you both. Can't wait to see the whole video. Great job and nice deer.
