It's been a long time since I've been fired up about any music artist. Then came Sturgill. The dude is just solid. He released a new album last Friday and an accompanying film on Netflix.. I'm blown away. I like outlaw country and whatnot but when a truly talented guy says I'm gonna do something a little different you kinda start to worry. Well he did something different and I've probably listened to the album all the way through about twenty times now, dudes a genius. A badass genius that just decided to burn the norms to the ground. Anyone else listened? Thoughts?
Blown away by the new album along with how and why he decided to go that route. I started the JRE podcast with Sturgill and the whole band last night, but couldn't finish it and they were discussing the album and other things.... He talks about theoretically producing a rap album featuring Shia Labeouf who, according to Sturgill, has serious rap talent. Let that sink in. LMAO. Followed SS for a long time now and will continue to.
I've been wanting to listen to the JR Podcast but I cant quit listening to the album! Lol. And Shia LaBeouf!? Talented!? Theres two words rarely seen in a sentence together but okay!
Finishing up the JRE podcast. No pooping on the bus. Words to live by. Sent from my SM-G960U using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
