    Hey guys.

I know this is not directly bowhunting related but i was hoping you could help me.

So i decided to purchase a deer feeder this season. I wanted to see how i liked it so i got a cheap remington model from wal-mart. The feeder came with an analoge timer and when i pressed the test button it would work fine and just how i wanted it to. However it would never go off at the set times!! I returned the timer and got another and had the same problem. I finally got the remington digital timer and hooked it up and once again it worked great! I let my friends grandfather hunt my spot this week and he says its not going off still!!!!

Now it has just gotten dark where i live and i will be going beck to check this thing after i post this. I am using a spring top 6 volt battery and am thinking that the feeder is draining this down or it is not providing the correct voltage? Im not sure but my next step is to get a gel cell battery and solar pannel and if that doesnt work im just going to throw this one out and get a moultrie like i should have in the first place. Its a shame to see a company like remington ruin my view of them just to make some more money on products they arent known for!!

    Thanks again guys

    -Scott-

Scott, not related to your topic although it sounds like you have a lemon, do you have a NHRA car?

I do lol. I race a 68 Camaro in the summit bracket racing series and run NHRA Super street. I have raced Jr dragsters since i was eight years old. thats the reason i normally dont get much bow hunting in but this year i ended the season a little early and was able to have a ton of fun hunting so far!!

Awesome! I have a NHRA Super Stock car, 84 Cutlass with a 307. I am usually burned out on vacation because of racing. I've been to the Englishtown, NJ National Event a few times when my Dad was running his Stocker. Talk about hot and humid, it seemed like it was always a 100 degrees and 100% humidity. I think the best he did out there was runner up. We race out of Michigan, so it was always a long haul. I love bowhunting just as much, so I am always torn.
