Sorry to hear about your grandmother. I only knew my maternal grandmother and it was one of the hardest things I'd ever been through when she passed.
Sorry to hear that man, prayers sent... I think what Dan is eluding to is if a new, or less "popular" member stuck a deer and hunted the next day before searching this thread would have went downhill fast. Look what happens when a guy looks all day and never finds a deer and has the gall to go to work the next day..,out comes all the "you owe it to the animal...what about closure...you should have nothing planned for at least 48 hours after a shot or you have no morals crowd. That is what I believe he meant.
Honestly, no offense to anyone but why do we not let this go. Let us all concentrate on helping one of our own get through this rough time with kind words and prayer. Praying for you brother !!! Dave
Thanks for all the support and prayers guys! It is much appreciated. If this doesn't show the genuine brotherhood and affection the people on this site have for one another, nothing never will! It does for me anyways. It is definitely hard on everyone right now. My grandmother turned 100 this past April. She lived a long life. An Awesome Woman! All my other Grandparents passed on in years past. She was the last Grandparent we had left. It will be hard to get use to. I will keep up with you guys as much as I can over the next few days. I have not talked to the landowner this morning. I will soon. Thanks again.....Sam I should have been a little clearer in my original post, I wasn't planning on hunting until after I found the buck I has stuck the night before. How could I? I re-lived that whole shot sequence over all night! I thought it would be a quick recovery and I would still have time to get a hunt in yesterday morning. But, that never materialized. Sorry if that caused any confusion. I was All Jacked Up when I posted the thread and my choice of words may not have been the best.
Praying for you and your family. May God bring you a peace beyond all understanding. May He comfort you through your time of sorrow and grief.
Hey guys! Thanks again for all your prayers. The loss of my Grandmother hit my family really hard. Makes you appreciate everyone that you care for that much more. With that being said, I am back home now and trying to get back to normal. I wanted to let you all know that the deer I stuck was never found. After I left, the landowner and friend looked for two more days. I hate losing a deer and I wanted him so badly. Would have been my first buck with my new bow. I am heading back out tomorrow and Monday. Cold front moving in tonight. The next buck I kill will be for my Grandmother. I am dedicating it to her. She knew how much I loved hunting! Good Hunting to everyone. See you in the Forum! Take Care, Be Blessed and Shoot Straight!! Sam
God bless you and your family Dwayne. Blessings..........Pastorjim Sent from my SPH-D710 using Tapatalk
