I hate to have my initial posts on here be so negative and contradictory to someone that has most likely been an active member of this forum for WAY longer than me, but this is complete ignorance. This country will be SAVED by people like this man. Those who won't cow tow to "authority". Especially authority that is in the wrong. He did nothing wrong. Simply traveling freely about our great country and had to stop and show "papers" at a checkpoint. He was never suspected or asked of DUI. As soon as the officer thought he was being a problem he took his "badge attitude" out and acted like a complete ****. The "officer of the law" actually says this kids done nothing wrong and knows his rights. Then he turns the camera from his power hungry face and sends him on his way. I wonder how many days and nights he sweated over that waiting for this video to be posted and his superiors to see it. Then I remembered the "thin blue line" and probably had no problem sleeping.

Drudge and talk radio that explains it, LOL

Nothing you posted pertains to this thread and the rights of this kid or how the cop acted. Is this cop even Union cop? Some counties do not have Unions, it was just a chance for you to take a cheap shot, that's it.

So I will ask this how do Unions pertain to this thread?

If you were a LEO and seen death after a drunk driver accident and some smart *** kid acted like this kid, how would you or anyone here act?

I would have been a bigger ****, and cited him for anything.

Is this some kind of joke? Public unions are the reason you can negotiate without the taxpayers involved. Taxpayers pay you, who then use your money to pay union dues. Public unions funded to get rid of Issue 2. This is why it comes to play.

My goodness is right, it's hilarious (sad) when someone attempts to "correct" someone else without understanding it themselves.

I'm assuming everyone here is all for the government to seize your guns because it is for the good of public safety? Am I right? We don't need constitutional rights when it comes to protecting the public, right?

So if I saw a terrorist act I should just agree with the federal government tapping our phones, reading our Emails, preventing what kind of guns I can have, if I can carry them, and treading on law abiding citizens to prevent terrorism. "They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety" comes to mind.

There you go Hook take it to the extreme with no logic at all. Gun used correctly cannot hurt a soul, how can you drive drunk correctly?

If you actually looked at what they are mining you would know it's the meta data, now go google that and get back to me.

The first terrorist act on us here in the America most screaming against what Gov is doing, will scream they have not done enough.

So either way whom ever is in office loses.

So because some people are irresponsible a**holes, we all are? And just so you know, being a bigger **** only perpetuates the stereotype. I've known people that have been on both sides of a DUI tragedy, but that's not an excuse to treat a kid trying to stand up for the rights we all hold dear like that. I bet he finally gave in and pulled off to the side after he saw this cop was having a hard time controlling his anger, grabbing at his door handle. I bet if that door had been unlocked this video would have ended differently.

I guess we should all stop familiarizing ourselves with the law and just let cops tell us what we did wrong without even knowing if it was against the law or not. That makes complete sense. I guess I better stop listening to talk radio and going to Drudge too. What's acceptable media Germ? CNN, MSNBC - the same ones who faked the Boston bombing broadcast and altering the 911 calls in the Martin/Zimmerman case? Should I just let the government tell me what to think? That rules out just about everything. You're the one backstroking, no matter what I put forward you're going to disagree for the sake of disagreeing.

I could care less who is in office or if they do more or less, it's about the people, freedom, and the Constitution. Don't try to belittle me by telling me to Google everything, that's what's weak here - you're debating tactics.

So if nothing is worth a damn, do you just make up the news? What's extreme is that you don't care about The Bill of Rights. The government and upholders of the law are always right, aren't they.

I did not read this whole thread, but this was handled terribly by the LEO. But it was ultimately the kids fault, which was obviously his intent. How is this all avoided ? If the kid puts down his window when the LEO ask and says a couple YES SIRs/ NO SIRs he is on his way. Being a LEO is just like any other job you have things you are responsible for that night for this particular LEO it was to look for drunk drivers and/or the suspicious activity that goes along with it. Yes it was not handled the greatest, but if you go out looking for trouble your going to find it.

Now you know what I care about.

What do Unions have to do with this case? Can you answers this questions?

What Bill of Rights did he lose by not rolling down his window and just not being an ***?

This is not 1776 the world is a bit more complicated these days, that's just reality.
