Yeah, cuz guys WITH drugs in the car admit to it immediately ..... What kind of statement was that?????

No, it's the cocky, anti authority, my right to act the way I want no matter what, BS attitude the dooshbag had .... That is what is being taught with this liberal agenda and no surprise ...you are on the cocky kid's side

Innocent .... you are so brainwashed ....

Because of his suspicious responses ... the stupid *** is gonna do that to the wrong cop one day and his camera will be smashed and drugs planted in his car ... then he will be pinned up to some 400pounder in a cell being made to sqeel like a pig....so stupid....

I would have rolled my window down and gave him my license. It's obvious the kid was baiting him for his own agenda.

I thought the kid was more respectable than the cop.

What did the kid do wrong? Perhaps you are the one that is brainwashed in that you accept whatever LEO tells you to do? Ignoring your basic rights and freedoms.

Ok...but the cop never explained why? He refused to tell the kid anything. The cop should have said "Please pull over to the side. You are being detained for suspicion of drunk driving, etc for [insert reason]"

Many of you guys would be highly surprised how bad crime would get in your areas if the cops stopped being proactive and inquisitive. There is a thin line that exists between good and evil and there are men and women that must patrol that thin line. And I am not just talking about cops I am talking about everyone being invested in their communities and ready to confront the slimeballs that live among us.

I have respect for police, more for military and less for wardens. I believe a lot of tickets and fines are given to law abiding citizens for minor violations while criminals are still out. It's mostly about money not so much about the right thing. Had a warden force a fishing without a permit confession out of me (on a public pond)when we were at the truck all poles on the truck, they never saw us fishing. Cause he threatened to take us to jail, and said they were taking it easy on us. That ticket is 500 dollars. That's great, I'm fishing for free dinner and working three jobs with a baby on the way and I get a ticket, while I can show you two roads that get spotlighted and deer shot all the time. Applaud this guy for knowing his rights.

You sir, should have bought a fishing license and put the rest of your $500 in the bank. You're going to need it. Turn in the poachers and you might collect a reward. Your thinking is a bit messed up. Obviously you WERE fishing without a license and got caught. So what you're saying is... the warden "forced you to tell the truth"! Dandy in my book!

You ever seen an older couple and their dog killed or maimed by a drunk driver? How about an entire family? How about a nun killed by a drunk driver?

Is it OK if the drunk driver kills a drug dealer, child molester or car thief?

It was a DUI check lane Hook. They're not allowed here in Michigan, but in some states, they set up a roadblock and everyone passing through gets checked out to see if they're under the influence. Apparently it's mandatory in those states that you stop to get checked out. I'm sure the driver in that video knew all about it.

It was obviously a setup. He was looking for a rogue cop to go off on him because he didn't have the right attitude, and he found one.

Maybe the cop is normally a very professional dude who was having a bad day and lost it when the driver showed an attitude. Nobody's perfect.

What really bothers me is the number of people who can't see that the cop was in the wrong behaving like he did after he had verified that the driver hadn't been drinking.

I don't believe in giving cops an attitude. They're doing a job that has to be done by someone. But, in this country, I think you should have the right to show a cop an attitude, if you feel like it, and not be punished by the cop for it.

Cops should be taught when they go through the training, and they should expect, that they are going to encounter someone with an attitude now and then. If they can't handle it, they should go into accounting or something.

And I think cops should have the right to "adjust" the attitude of an ungrateful punk when they need it ;)

In Ohio the DUI check points are advertised well in advance. They put right on the news where they will be and for how long. This kid was obviously looking for a confrontation and found it. Like Josh/OH said, that LEO doesn't know who is pulling up in that car and common sense tells you that in a checkpoint like that the officer needs to be able to SEE, HEAR, & SMELL what is going on in the car. You can hear plainly on the video because the microphone for the camera is in the car, the officer is not. He is outside with the sounds of other cars, other officers talking, etc. The officer was not rude when he first requested the window down, only when the little jackwagon started being an a-hole did he get demanding. Because at that point he know the little jerk is wanting a confrontation but doesn't yet know what kind. Better for him to be on the offensive and not the defensive. In my opinion.

Now I'm going to show my age, if that were my kid in the video I would stripe his backside in front of the officer.

    Most lawyers are scum.
    Most policemen are heroes.
    There are always exceptions.

I wish there had been a random stop before my son and I got rear-ended by a drunk driver, without a license, without insurance, without a job and who didn't own the car he was driving and with 4 prior convictions.

I wish there had been a random stop before a young man in my youth group was killed by a drunk with no license and at least three priors.

I wish it were legal to randomly pull over anyone seen driving out of a bar's parking lot.

I wish they would have let the dog pee on his seats. LOL

Don't get me wrong, I'm all for people having rights but when your in the position that the officer is in with the darkness, bright lights to the eyes, constant noise, etc and someone is obviously trying to make a situation it would HAVE to make the hair stand up on the back of your neck. If you say it wouldn't you are a liar. He didn't do anything that anybody with a sense of self preservation wouldn't have done.

Because of your statements, I have no choice but to assume you've lived a fairly sheltered life. If you experienced only a small percentage of what I have, you would understand the officer's demeanor. That well-to-do, white collar bubble you're apparently living in is not the America us common folks (overwhelming majority) are privileged enough to enjoy.

You'll never understand where we are coming from -and that is what's sad.

These are some of the stupidest comments I've ever seen. It's this type of behavior that leads to the lawlessness that we are trying to prevent.

Wow. Rogue cops that are above the law..... I thought you were a preacher?

Greg. What rogue cops are you talking about? I never said I agree with a cop planting drugs...I am against it...just saying it can happen when you act like that guy did...as far as the adjustment comment... I never said how much of an adjustment

Look...those stops are protecting OUR families...if someone is non compliant with the reasonable requests that were made by the officer...they should go to jail for obstruction....

You don't want to live in that society. You might be the one getting adjusted when you get accused of doing something you're not guilty of.

Have a license thank you, buy it every year. it was a non fishing day but 20 people were fishing when we pulled up. We assumed fishing was ok due to the other people. Then the wardens showed up with no evidence only intimidation. My thinking is 500 is way to high for a minor offense. The thought of knowing I was in the wrong is enough for me, 500 hurts my family. Not my toy spending money.
