In the market for some new strings and cables. Any suggestions on what brand to get and what type of material is best (like Trophy, BCY X, ext.)?

    Thanks,
    HunterC.

    Hi HunterC
Material depends on you and what your looking for. I build with Trophy mainly but stock X as well. Trophy is a very stable, quiet and dependable string set. X is not 100% stable but has proven to be an excellent material.

    Thanks guys,
Hutch, I was hoping you would reply since you seem to know your stuff. I am just looking for a good string for hunting. Accuracy, quietness, and no peep rotation or stretch I what I want. I currently have the stock strings on my Bowtech and I have always had peep rotation problems and it has got progressively worse and since they are 2 years old it is time to change them out. I will be getting them done in neon green and black so they have to be custom ordered from my local shop and I'm not sure exactly what brands they carry.

Trophy is by far the best material I have had my strings made out of. Imo, that is all anyone needs. I've been using it for a few years now.

Hutch also builds top notch strings sets. You can buy from him and have your shop install them.

Hutch makes some great strings. All I shoot it BCY Trophy as well. Love it that stuff. Hutch has built me many sets...lol. Great guy to deal with too. If I were you, I'd go with Trophy, especially since your going to hunt with it.

X is the best material going right now. It is infact 100% stable. 8190 may need retimed here and there but the X doesn't move.

We are about 3 hours east of Crossville, about 30 minutes from Kingsport.

Thanks for the offer though. I'll have a local shop install them here. I just was kind of skeptical of big name brand strings and want something with more quality and Hutch seems to have a good following.

I'll be going with neon green and black with neon green serving, and black and neon green cat whiskers. All to match my overhauled 101st with neon green Bowjax, and soon to be Stokerized SS1with the Green Acrylic rod.

    Hey Hunter,
you will need flex guard serving on that bow. Unless you for some reason don't have it. Also I can do flo green serving but understand it's a translucent serving and you will see the black all the way through. To me it gives a dirty appearance. I can make a sample take a pic and show you if you would like.
