:) Yep a lot of people are on staff Right? Like if they didn't like the strings they were using and preferred someone else's strings they couldn't be on Staff with them.

Or! Maybe a person is a dealer? Right? And they push a Brand because they are a dealer for them. Right?

Actually I am a dealer for 3 different string manufactures listed in this thread. I base what I recommend on what I or customers have had the best Luck with. Whether it be Delivery times, Price, customer service, or Quality.

Quality is not a major factor. They all are good quality with only slight differences.

To Some, Everybody has an agenda!

Everybody but them that is ;)

    Dan

I purchased a set of Vapor-trails from Dan last year (yellow and black) and they were very nice strings.

I recently purchased some Wicked1 strings that were recommended to me by several guys. I read about them on AT for a while before I ordered, and never saw one complaint on them.

I ended up trying them out only because they had a Christmas special going- the strings were $50 marked down from $70.

Not everyone, Dan. I simply weigh people's (EVERYONE'S) recommendations against whether or not I know they're being compensated to use what they're recommending.

The gray area comes into play when people don't know those arrangements.

Do you think you're getting ALL the best info. about a pending auto purchase, if you only get info. from the Ford dealers?

I'm not saying everyone with affiliations is bought an paid for. But, some are.

This is just common sense stuff. I really have no idea why it would bother anyone.

Whatever strings you get you owe it to yourself to research the various string materials out there from Brownell and BCY to see what material fits your needs. (Go to their websites.) Then see if your "custom" string maker offers the material that fits you best. Most of the string manufacturers these days are using BCY 452X which just doesn't last up here in our tall grass and brush. I needed a more durable material so I started making my own strings in order to get what I need.

All the ones listed are great string makers another to check is the G5 Matraeo and I definitely agree with Greg that Zebra/Barracuda are crap.

Can we make that times 3 or 4? Definitely some of the worst strings I have ever dealt with.

Never claimed to be an expert....and my post speaks for itself. It's common sense. Why it bothers you.....I don't know.....other than I said it.

Seriously, Dan....move along. You're really ugly when you're gettin' your petty on.

Maybe because you are constantly posting I am bought and paid for? As well as others on staffs? I would Never use, sell, or promote anything I did Not believe was the best. Reasons can vary as noted before.

I can deal with any product I choose. I choose to stick with the products/companies that prove themselves over time. A company gets 3 strikes and they are out with me. Any compensation is irrelavent to me as there is another company that will meet the obligations I expect of them. Pretty Simple Actually only a Moron couldn't figure it out.

I do get sick of your veiled pokes at me and other staff members and dealers.

I just for the life of me can't figure why you think a dealer would deal in or recommend a product he didn't have confidence in, when he has many choices. I have built my business on making honest recommendations on quality products that perform and if a problem arises then they are backed by a company that has Great CS.

    Pretty Simple actually! ;)

Well you are half right ;) I get tired of it, constantly being accused of having an agenda, being bought and paid for, etc. etc.

He might as well call me a Liar. I don't care for it and it gets old every time I make a recommendation it's the same Ol same Ol. If I can't share my years of Archery experience and years of experience as a dealer then I feel their is something not right about that.

If a product or company does not cut the mustard then I'll be switching to another product. I've done it before and I'll do it again.

When I post on something I am posting not only from my own personal experience but from the 1000's of experiences from my customers. I think that makes my opinion worthy of posting and.................................

Hardly bought and paid for

I don't have to say a thing, Dan. Keep digging.

This is the kind of stuff that got you banned from Archery Talk. You're your own worst enemy.

And FTR....I never even mentioned your name in this thread.

I take great pride in researching, and testing products before I sell them.
My success depends on my decisions in what I recommend to guys, because repeat customers is where it is at.
If there are problems that arise with that product I drop it and add a quality replacement.

If a product or company does not measure up I won't be selling their products long. A lot of things you do in this industry you do because of your Love for the sport and I think any Small Pro Shop owner will agree. I have 3 friends that also own Pro Shops in the Tri-State area where I live. I also am a General Contractor, one friend is a Welder, another one works in the Oil Field, and the last works in the Coal Mines. We don't do that because we enjoy working from daylight til dark ;)

I enjoy contributing to threads and have many friends on here, but if my input is not wanted I'll take it else where.

Ben Thanks!! I'm here because I want to learn and contribute, but if it gets to the point that I am attacked and accused at every post I make about a product referral because my relationships with companies somehow takes away my right to have an opinion then I honestly wonder how I can contribute? It should Not be that way!

After all I Do pick the Companies I am affliated with and anyone that actually knows me knows I will not back a company, promote or sell their products unless I have total confidence in them.

What would those glasses run including shipping? ;)
