I'm going bowfishing tomorrow, so I just took out my equipment, however the line was very badly tangled and i had to cut it ): . There are absolutely NO archery stores where I live. Is there any other kind of string I could use?

I'd say go to a hardware store and see what they have. Try matching it up to something they have or ask one of the salesmen. Id stay away from cotton tho, it'll soak up a ton of water. Go with something synthetic.

I'm gonna guess that you have an AMS reel. ??? Is there a place that sells fishing gear around? If so look for planer board line.
Whatever you choose, make sure it's not stretchy.
