I purchased the new bowtech expierience in the begining of August and last week I noticed the string was starting to twist and I couldn't see out of my peep very well. I took it to the shop and they put it on the press and unhooked the string and untwisted it. When I got it home and started shooting a couple days later everything was high. At first I thought it was me but I had a friend watch me and everything seemed to be the same. But I am still shooting 3-4 inches high. Can fixing the twisted string alter my shot? I am taking it back to the shop this weekend to have them look it over but I was just curious what everyone thought.
How much did they twist it? If it's rotating out of alignment, it shouldn't need more than a 1/4 of a turn at the most. That should not cause 3-4 inches of change. Is the peep served in? Did it move?
Could be that the new strings are still being broke in if you bought it in August. They may have accidently moved the peep.
really they shouldn't ever take a twist out of the string. We normally always move or re tie the d-loop or flip the peep
Adjust your d loop after leveling your arrow to get the d loop in place. once that is done close your eyes draw your bow back (make sure your bow is level) anchor in your normal anchor position. Open you eyes if you can see out your peep it didn't move. If you can't adjust it so you can and shoot to see where its hitting. One of the most come problems is the peep is out of place after a string twisting. Adjust your d loop after leveling your arrow to get the d loop in place. Hutch
