Lately when I'm shooting my bow the peep sight won't rotate. So I have to let off, twist the peep and then draw again. I've had the bow for almost a year now and wondering if it's just the factory strings getting old and stretching or am I doing something wrong? And if I need a new string I'm wanting to know any opinions on string manufacturers that are worth me taking a taking a look at. Thanks Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Click on the link in my signature...Bowstring Depot. Bill makes some very good strings. I have them on both my bows. A lot of others on here have his strings on their bows as well. What kind of bow do you have?
Ok...I have one of those as well. Your peep should not move at all. I would PM Hutch~n~Son archery on here...he can make you a nice set and has all the colors to choose from. The factory strings on those aren't much. Maybe he will chime in on this thread too. I just emailed him this thread...I'm sure he will post when he gets it. Great guy to deal with and customer service is second to none.
Bootlegger is right Pse strings are not good. They are made out of BCY 8125 and they don't last. A quality material is needed. Like BCY trophy it is stable meaning it won't stretch or creep. Once you replace it with something stable it makes a great difference and you should be able to get a good long time out of them. Hutch
I know when I put the new string on my Brute X it was a whole different bow. I could not believe how much better it shot. My peep never moves at all. If I was you I would get Halo serving as well. It will last much longer than the cheap serving that comes on the factory string.
Thanks for all your help. I'll definitely be making an order sometime soon! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
