Morning, gents. I'm looking for some suggestions of a decent and affordable string stop. I've seen many guys with these on their setup and have heard mixed reviews about putting them on. I'm strongly considering it, but am unsure if it's worth the time and money. My rig is a Reflex Growler (Hoyt Powerhawk is the exact same bow). Thanks for the help!

Would strongly suggest a decent string stop. Certainly seems to make a difference - IMO...

Not sure on the size you need for your exact bow, just shoot them a message from their website or give them a call before ordering to make sure it's the right size... 'Custom' string stop for $46....

Yeah, that's the impression that I've been getting from a lot of the guys at the pro-shop I go to. Thanks for the info! Greatly appreciated.

I believe that model bow does not have a rear stabilizer mount, correct? If that's the case, you'll need a front-mount that extends around the riser and back to your bow string. I've had great luck with the String Tamer from Norway Industries. Very easy to set up, adjustable, and rock solid.

Justin, you are correct that it does not have a rear stabilizer mount. I've been looking for a wrap around but am not having much luck. Thanks for the link! Nice job on the last Bowhunt or Die video, by the way! Always look forward to them. Thanks again!

I know Fuse also makes a front mount.

You don't "need" a stabilized. You dont "need" string silencers. You don't "need" limb dampners. You don't "need" a string stop.

What they do, is stop string vibration and eliminate reverberation and "twang". I put one on my craze but I certainly didn't "need" to.

like goodone said, you dont need one but if you have noticed a fair amount of vibration on release, or if you can hear a "twang" on release a string stop would reduce these. all add ons are purely based on preference to the user. Ive known guys that refuse to use sights with more then 1 pin just because its easier to concentrate on that one vs ignoring 2 to 4 others. some guys wont use stablizers, some will only use hand held releases, etc. what im saying is, if you like where your rig is at and have no desire to change anything, dont.
