Let me preface this by saying sorry for a newbie question.
Ok. A buddy stopped by yesterday after hearing that I finally got a bow after talking about doing so for a few years. He asked what I was shooting for arrows and all that. I told him nothing yet, was going to get some once we caught up from Christmas. Likely the end of the month before I could do it. Being the awesome person that he is, he came by with a few of his old Easton Axis arrows, his spare release and a target, and left them for me. Pretty jazzed about that. He asked to see the new bow, casual talk, all that, then mentioned that I needed to make sure I got some string wax and wax everything up well.
Today I stopped and got some String Snot after reading that it was a pretty good product. Here's my question. How specifically do I use it? I get the basics- smear it on and rub it in. In reading online and watching a couple videos, there seems to be mixed opinions on whether or not it's good to wax servings, and string around the cams, wheels, etc.
So what do I do? How do you wax your string, how much, how often, and where?
Again, sorry for a very elementary question.
