    Since you have the string tamer the string leeches and bowjax are really not necessary. They are not doing anything for you. If you did not have the string tamer you would benefit from them though. Your string oscillation is dampened by the tamer. Also, these extra accessories (string leeches, etc) rob you of a little speed. If you have shortened up the tamer all the way you should be able to cut the carbon rod, but if you have the right size string tamer it should not need cut. Either way. the string toughing is not a big deal. Just keep shooting. :-)
