Well I got new strings put on at Cabelas, and now I can't keep my dang string leeches on, they fall of, rip, etc.. So I'm in the market for something new to slap on my strings. I have two of the factory Diamond "Octopus" looking silencers on. What do you all recommend? Guy at Cabela's recommend G5 Speed Studs.

Also, I have a string tamer, it is as short as it is and the string just barely rests on it. I heard there should be a hair gap in between the string and the rubber part. Anything that can be done to make it shorter? It is barely touching, is it a big deal?

Edit: What does everyone know about BowJax?

Since your using a string tamer, your bowjax and leaches will serve no purpose. The tamer stops the string oscillation and dampens vibration. If you have the correct size tamer, you should still have room to shorten it up, but lightly touching is not a problem. If it is really bugging you though it can be cut and reassembled. hope this helps.
