They come by different names and String Shox is what they're called on the Hoyt bows. I can't get them to stay on the string. After about 50-75 arrows they either break of partially or come off the string entirely. Has anyone discovered a way to keep them on the string without coming off? Maybe it's just something to live with?

Doesn't anybody with an Alphamax have trouble keeping these things on their bow string? I didn't have any trouble with my Hoyt Katera keeping them on.

What I've read says that when they get wet they hold water and slow down your string. Is that not the case?
