So I bought a Bowtech Experience late August, and while I've probably put 400 or so shots through it, I wouldn't say I've shot it a ton. I have noticed some separation in the serving though, in a few places. Seems a bit early for that, no? I also see some fraying in the D-loop, when does that become a concern? I wax the strings every two weeks or so, and doubt that Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Sorry phone cut off by accident. Anyways I doubt that I need to replace the string any time soon. I'll post pictures tomorrow so you can see what I'm talking about Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I bought the bowtech experience and love the bow but the serving was horrible on my factory strings. I shoot a lot though. I probably shot it 1000 times in a 3-4 week time frame. The serving separated where the string stop hit the serving on the string. I went to my local shot and got it reserved and it is still in tact today. Did it early this year in January. The d- loop material might be bad. I replaced mine when i got it and has just started to fray this year. That is also because i shoot a lot, before season, during season and all year long. So the serving on your string will probably need to be taken off and re-served at your local shop, it cost me $20, $10 per side. And just get another d loop put on and you should be good
Post up some pics and we should be able to help. It does seem to be a lot of threads lately about the factory bowtech strings not holding up very well.
I have about 500 shots through an Experience I bought in September. The strings have held up very well on it. In fact, they have been the most stable set of strings I've seen to date off a factory bow. I believe Bowtech's strings are some of the best out there for a factory string and I'd wager to say they're every bit as good as most custom strings. With that said, there are things that cause separation but its almost always around the cams. Some cam designs route the strings/cables around tight bends, etc. This is a spot for potential separation. Also, putting a half twist into strings or cables will lead to premature separation as you're bending the serving in opposite directions.
