I had a new sight placed on my bow and had it tuned by a archery shop about two weeks ago. I mostly do all my own tuning but I needed a new sight and had them tune it too. I shoot a single cam 2001 PSE Baby-G force, 28 draw at 70lbs. I have taken good care of it and can shoot it well. This bow has a reputation of smacking the #*%! out of your arm when shot. I have been using an arm guard for years for this reason. Last week I purchased a Horton cut to length string stop and installed it on the bow. I served the string where it hit the string stop. Everything went smoothly and I started shooting the bow. No arm slap but I was hitting low. I shot six more times and wondered why all the shots were low and the peep was a little off. I examined the bow and realized the nock point was still tight but had moved about a quarter inch up towards the wheel. The serving around the cam and wheel seem to be unchanged but the nock and peep are higher. I don't know what happened when I put the string stop on but something has changed. I am afraid maybe the string broke under some of its serving but there is no visible damage. Should I just re-tune it and keep shooting? If you have any ideas I would really appreciate some advice. Thank You

Take it in..DO NOT KEEP SHOOTING IT! You might want to shoot with your bow arm slightly bent and your string slap issue will most likely go away.

proper grip on your bow and drawlength will get rid of arm slap.

I agree do not shoot it and have everything looked over. As for the arm slap, I also agree with the above statements proper grip and proper draw length will eliminate the arm slap. You should have a slight bend in the elbow of the arm you are holding the bow.

2001 bow; when was the last time you replaced the string on it? You should have had at least 3 sets of strings/cables on it during its life by now. Might be time for a new string and cable anyway...
