definetly shoot the d loop, and as far as the release i shot both for a while to tell the difference. i went with the trufire hardcore maxx because i like the trigger pull and the way that it adjusts, the hook makes finding the d loop while in the low light much easier as far as i can telll. i liked the jaw but after a while shooting the hook i think that i am a little better at long distances because of the lesser amount of torque in my trigger pull
