Anyone use string leeches? I put some on recently, and I am very impressed compared to whiskers I've always used. I know some people think it will slow the bow down a little (I'm sure it does), but I like how quiet it has made my bow. I'm still confident that the bow will continue to fling pass-thrus, but what are your experiences with string leeches?

Further more. Does anyone have them, and have something like the STS, or equivalent? Why? Did it do much?

Leeches work great, I found that the speed loss was minimal (1-3 fps) The one thing that I will say is that they don't last very long, especially on bows with IBO speeds of 325 fps or faster. I had some installed on my 82nd Airborne and they were gone within a dozen shots.

There older ones wore out pretty quickly.....ive never had them off within a dozen shots, more like a year depending on how much you shoot but they made them differently now and I can't seem to wear them out. I also had the STS on my Bowtech Allegience and i felt it made a big difference. A lot of the bow being made today come with them stock if you nocticed. So they must do something.

I used to use them too, but I got tired of changing them out. I now use the string jax and they work great. They slide on the string so you don't have to penetrate it. Only down fall is that you have to take the string off to slide them on.

I had them on my DXT, but when I got an STS I took them off because they werent really adding any benefits. The STS stopped the vibration.

I had the vibracheck string leeches when I got my bow and in probably in about four months of shooting they split in half and I went and bought the sims string leeches and have had them for about six months and they are still in perfect shape. I also found the sims seemed alittle quieter then the vibracheck version.
