Im going to be putting new strings and cables on my PSE Stinger this winter and was wondering how many strands I should use or does it matter? From what I read in the kinseys catalog they range from 16-24 strands and was just wondering the difference other than thickness?

Before I say this, realize I am just guessing.

I would say 24 is going to be a lot more durable, and take more abuse. The 16 is going to help provide a more noticeable let off?

Depends on what string material you are using. Most of the modern materials are 20-24 strands and that depends on poundage of the bow. If you were shooting 45 pounds or under 20. 22 to 24 for anything above.

22 strands on the string but you should go with 24 on the cables.
