That's terrible!! Lariano went through the same thing with the Twins In 2007 I believe It was. Took him 3 years to get somewhat back to what he once was.

Hope Strasburg can make It back.

Hell, he might come back throwing harder. He needs to change his arm angle IMO. Looks too much like Mark Prior's delivery, he's putting a ton of strain on the elbow and shoulder.

I hate baseball but hate to see this. I was hoping Strasburg was the next best thing.

Bryce Harper will be the next best thing unless he self destructs. Don't know whether he will or not but it just seems that too many seem to now a days.

My thoughts exactly. When you throw that damn hard with a ton of breaking balls and with that arm angle it only spells disaster. As much as I hate to say it, but I think we just saw the chance to see the best pitcher in the last 50 years go down the pisser.

Not that it matters, but I think Jim Riggleman was the manager when Wood and Pryor went out as well. I am sure it means nothing...but who knows. He pitched here in Atlanta and man was it electric...have not seen that since Nolan Ryan when I was a kid and he was with the Astros.

He's awful young to be thrown into this kind of environment.I hope he can handle it.

I hope Strasburg makes it back as well and I fully expect he will.Seems like many that have this surgery come back better than ever.Just takes a while.

Agreed, but if he doesn't change his mechanics he will have a very short career.

It is going to be a tough road for him, but it is not a death sentence to pitchers anymore. Some of the top pitchers in the game this season have went through it, and their results don't lie.

You have to feel for him though. They said that it was just one particular pitch that caused the ligament tear, and not from being overused.

Washington shouldn't have gotten greedy for ticket sales and kept him out after his shoulder injury. When he injured his shoulder and came back he compensated with his elbow hence putting to much strain on it IMO
