Shot a doe tonight at @ 5:30. Looked real good. She was quartering away. Hit opposite shoulder (I believe). So, I did not get a pass through. This all seems pretty typical. Everyone has done this before I am sure, but has anyone had the deer go down at the initial shot? I mean, literally go down as soon as the arrow hits the deer. I thought perhaps I had spined her. She rolled around, got her feet under her, got up and ran away with the arrow stuck in her. I started reaching for another arrow thinking that I had hit her a bit high. Pretty sure I got at least one lung. I heard what sounded like hard, shallow breathes as she was running. Don't think she went far. Left her alone and will start tracking her in the A.M. I just stopped and thought about that after it happened. I just thought it was strange. If you look, you will see that I am not shooting 80 lbs or that I have a 30 inch draw...My KE is not that great. I will post a comment on here tomorrow letting everybody know what I find. Hopefully she went less than 80 or so yards and piled up.
Sounds like just hit a lot of nerves I would drop to the ground too Sounds like a goner to me good luck
