At 7:00 Saturday morning my phone started to vibrate. Not from a text but a call. So I answer it quietly, the person on the other end is a St. Louis County Police Officer. Friday night someone tried to break into my house while I was at my farm. They tried throwing a brick through my basement window. It only broke 1 pane of my double pane window. My neighbor was out walking her dog and saw a strange car parked up the road and heard the glass break. She called the cops and they got there in time to catch 3 hoodlems from the city as they were leaving. They never got in my house but I have glass all over my back yard. Two of the 3 had outstanding warrants and they found drugs and stolen items in the car. Hopefully these *******s will end up behind bars for a while.

I think they should line them all up and let you smack each one in the head with whatever they used to break your window.:D

Sorry to hear that John, glad they got caught without any of your stuff being stolen. I'd make sure you get things locked up tight, never know if one of their buddies will come back for another try.

Well I'm glad they were caught and all you lost was a window pane. Good thing your neighbor was around to keep a watch out.

SOaB, that's two of ya'lls now. Germ, now this.

I'm afraid what the future brings. I feel it's going to get worse before it get's better. I pray I never catch one myself at my house. Just lately here there is a rash of rapes, some gang initiation or something. Two 62 and 61 year old women have been abused and a 23 year old. This is out of the norm here. My wife wants a handgun.

Any idea why they picked your house other than the lights being off, or was it just more or less random?

I was thinking the same thing. Someone familiar with the neighborhood or just dumb luck they picked your house? Supporting the growing meth problem?
