Ok.I bought a new tote for storing my hunting gear, Cloths and backpack. The only problem is that it smells like plastic tote! Any suggestions on how to get the tote smell out and the outdoor smell in? Should I fill it with dirt/sticks/leaves or use a product? Thanks for the help! :)

I hunt in pine trees so I cut a branch and tuck that in my tote. They sell earth smelling scents you can put in there too. Ive never done it but it may work.

Also just spray and put out your clothes a day before the hunt and you should be good.

Try washing it out with hunters soap and then put baking soda in the tote and close the lid and let it sit for a week.

Off gassing takes a while. Open air and sunlight exposure may help or try Ozone.

Put it in the sun. Great time of year too. Leave it outside in the sun all day. It kills any smell.

I once accidentally put a gas rag in the laundry when my wife was washing towels. Boy was she mad. But after a day or 2 in the sun the towels were as good as new

Has to be astringent warm sun. Do it now.

It's out in the sun now

It's out in the sun now with some baking soda in it as well. It seems to be working really well.

Sun will definitely work. When we get home from fishing we wash the cooler out with baking soda and water then set in the sun. No more fish smell.

I place my clothes in bags and then put the bag in a bin in my basement. Before season I will wash with DDW and then hang dry for a few days.

Does anyone use the DDW field spray? Does that **** work?

It works as well as all the other sprays that claim to be the best.
