I didn't shoot it but did hold one and talk to the shop owner about it. He said its a very good starter bow and would give someone a lot of years of service. My first impression when i picked it up was a little on the heavy side and seemed top heavy. This was with no accessories so outfitted and with a stabilizer that could change. He said a 70lb bow will get down to 45lb. I forgot this thread was on here or I definitely would have shot it. I'll try to make it in there next weekend and if I can I'll let you know my impressions.
I am new the archery and was thinking of getting this bow also. Any word of advice for a newbie? Cracker7
I've always used PSE's in this price range cause unfortunately I don't have big money, and I own that bow now. It's pretty nice, it's pretty fast, and it is top heavy bare. But I bought mine bare and added all my acessories for it. I honestly have nothing bad to say about it other than if you buy the "package" I'd definitely change out the acessories that come with it IMO. Especially the sight and rest...
Ok cool. I think I'm going to pick this bow up next weekend. I will most likely use the bow at the range most of the time, but maybe do some hunting too. The guy at the shop told me i should go with the 60# max bow because it will be easier to shoot alot more at the range. Not sure if this is the right advice or should i just get the 70#? Thanks, Cracker7
If I personally was shooting at a range then yea I'd go for the 60# but I mainly hunt with mine and shoot in the back yard with family/friends so I went with the 70#. But you can't go wrong with either, I'd try them both out.
I can't wait till friday to go down to the shop and try out some bows. Why is it when ever you want something it seems to be forever till it gets here. Damn LOL Cracker7 P.S. Is there anything else i should be looking for when i shoot the bows? And after i pick one, What is the most Important thing one can tell a newbie?
Just look to see if it feels comfortable. Shooting a bow should be fun so if it doesn't feel good shoot another. The bow will pick you lol if that makes since. I'm thinking about going to get mine chronographed.
Sounds good again. Thanks for the advice. I'm going thursday to try a few and I'll let the bow pick me as you suggested. lol Then I'll have them set it up and pick it up friday. Then to the range for some fun. Cracker7
Went to the shop today. Had some fun talking to the guys and shooting some bows. They're all nice. Hoyt, Bear, Pse. I'm going to go with the Pse stinger 3g. Smooth and easy to shoot. And for money, it was an easy choice. Can't wait to pick it up tomorrow and start shooting. Thanks for all your help. Cracker7
Ok, so I've been to the range the last 3 days. And i must say this bow is awesome. I'm no expert LOL and this is my first bow, but it's so easy to shoot. I can pretty much shoot it where i want up to 20 yards. I know that's not that far, but for just starting I don't think that's to bad. The only bad thing is I get tired after about 50-60 arrows Cracker7
