Thanks! Yeah, I've only hunted Seneca Creek so far, bouncing around to different sections. Hunting public land definitely has its challenges. Let's call it the school of hard knocks, it'll break you or turn you into a grizzled veteran, lol! Next time I'm gonna reap the rewards! ;)

Yeah, by the end of the season we'll both have more stories to tell (hopefully with happy endings). ;)

Its great to hear you got a positive attitude.. Don't drag that "Ho Hum" feeling anywhere !!! You did exactly what we ALL have done.. Including myself.. Been there and have been sick at night when it has happened.. Chin Up and Chest Out, smile and go stick another one !!!!

Its all about learning.. Someday, another new hunter will come on here with a similar story, and you will be able to tell yours. And you will be able to lift someone elses spirit next time !!!!

I went the entire month of October last year without seeing a deer!

Yeah, I took a couple days to rest and regroup. Now I'm ready to get back in the ring! Pick em and stick em!

What about the broadhead, if its been through an animal do you re-use it?

Redz, if you have an option to use another fresh broadhead, do so. If not, resharpen the blades on the used broadhead.

Cool, thanks. I'll put a fresh one on there. I'll also have to check to see if the blades on 2 blade Rage are replaceable.

They are, when I used them there was a little pin you had to punch out to replace the blades. I thought I saw the newer ones had a little screw or something

Yeah, I think I remember seeing an allen screw or two on there somewhere.

Thanks! Seems to have quieted down now. Probably even more so, because a mountain biker just rode by.

I've been having a problem with deer ending up on the right side of my stand! Difficult to turn around to face the tree, and then the tree is in the way of my draw arm! :banghead:
