It sometimes helps to shimmy up a tree and take a look around if the cover is too thick to see.

I just spoke with him on the phone. He's got good blood after the arrow. Said its kind of thick and heading towards the road. He had to circle back to the arrow because the direction of the blood trail wasn't in the direction he saw the deer run last night.

I followed the trail backwards and connected where I lost it earlier.

Didn't he say he lost sight of it right away? Still confused if he hit a dead end or not at the bed. If he still had a blood trail should he not be following that trail no matter what he saw? Someone else tell me if I'm still confused

He was on the blood when I spoke with him. I told him to keep following it and if it leads to the road, look on his side and the far side for more blood up there.

What happened was earlier this morning I was following where I heard the other deer go. Didn't know the one I hit went different direction til I found blood.

The deer you hit was looking for a place to bed. The other deer were trying to get the hell out if there. Just follow the evidence of the blood trail.

Totally agree on the teamwork. A very welcome change from all the negativity recently on lost deer threads. I've been texting him and I think hes gonna find her soon!

If the blood runs out... he might want to take a break and wait... if you're going anyway?

Can we get an update on how it's going? What are you seeing? dhow far are you from the stand? Most wounded deer will head towards water. Let us know!
