Thought I had it figured out,but still hitting low. It has to be me doing something different but ill be damned it I can figure it out. Anchor-dropping my arm or something else. But today I moved my sight down which got me closer. But it got me thinking would it be better to move the pins individually or the whole housing like I did.
Try close drills. Stand about 15 feet from a large target butt. Draw and release with eyes closed- focus on what you are doing so far as draw, anchor and release. You can also draw and achor with eyes closed, then open your eyes to see how you are aligned. You may be dropping the bow so as to watch the arrow flight. You can also try shooting in low light. This will help focus on sighting and not on arrow flight. Archery is 95% mental. Odds are it is something in your head. Easier said than done, but don;t overthink this stuff...... It is a new skill set. It will take some time before you become good at it. Accepting that is key to improving. I have been shooting for many years and I still have days when I hate archery! Good luck.

It's gotta be me, I drew back with my eyes closed and my peep is on the money. I slapped my arm twice today with the string and I've never done that before. I guess it's also possible my sight got bumped. But to be shooting almost 4 inches low seems like a lot to be off. That thing has been dead nuts on but I haven't shot much in the last few weeks.
Are you hitting consistently 4 inches low? If so... and if everything else is okay, adjust your sight pin. If your peep and sight ring are aligned... Move the pin, not the whole sight. Otherwise your peep ends up off again. As far as string slap... that is normally an indicator of either improper gripping (your forearm and wrist should form a fairly straight line) or your draw length may be too long. Is there someone who can watch you shoot? The wisdom used to be locked elbow... but most today seem to have a slight bend with the elbow pointing horizontal and away from the bow... that takes the forearm away from the string. You can kind of experiment by just holding your arm out and moving it in different positions and seeing how the fat part of the forearm rotates with different grip positions. You may also prefer to be slightly short on your draw-length and rotate toward the target slightly. No too much... but just a little helps the string's path.
Not the elbow, just turn the wrist and forearm section. As far as closing your eye and checking the peep, that gets you close but a slight adjustment may still be needed for the average distance you will be shooting. Is the pin bouncing? If so your draw length is too long. If the pin is sitting low, then you need to adjust the peep. Or you have a case of target panic and you need to do some aiming drills. Draw and hold the pin on the spot without firing. Do this several times between shots. Also do some blank bale. Firing bow close to target with eyes closed. It sounds to me as though the strings and cables have creeped and made the draw length too long. If it's none of the above, move the pin and shoot. Sent from my DROIDX using Tapatalk 2
Hey thanks everybody. My D-Loop was stretched pretty good so I replaced it and my anchor felt better. I suppose that could have added a little to my draw length. Started shooting better but I think I may still have to tweak the pin. Last time I moved the whole sight because all my pins were hitting low.
Make sure your nock is not slipping up the string, and that your peep sight is not moving up on you either, had the same problem over the weekend, my nock had gotten pushed up the string making all my shots low.
