this continues from the last thread "someone make me feel better please". im still lookin for that deer convinced he's down somewhere close...just not seeing it. i attatched a file of where it was shot and such and was seeing where you gutys think it would have gone

Red dot is where i was sitting
black dot is where he was standing when i shot
green trail is where he came out and ran to
red is where i picked up his blood trail
blue spot is where my truck was parked black lines are where ive searched
purple is where last blood was spotted

one of the things that threw me off is where the blood trail ends...my truck was visible so im not sure if that would throw him off or at the stage he maybe wouldnt care. im just curious at this point whether his maybe turned around and headed back up the tree line to the woods he came from. let me know what you guys think. thanks again!

I feel your pain benjamer, I feel your pain. I'm going back out today to do some more searching for my buck. I can't hardly sleep at night, I hate this feeling.:(

    Best of luck to you.

Concentric circles search. Too many search where they think the deer would have gone. Wounded deer head to water many times, but will also circle back. Working in larger and larger circles from the last place you've seen the deer or where the blood trail ends, will keep you from missing any possibilities. Good luck!

I know how you feel! I shot mine about 2 weeks ago, and I still haven't found him! I don't know where else to look, i have just resorted to watching for buzzards and crows at this point...
