I've seen fawns with spots in June all the way through to the first week of September in the past. My guess is she didn't conceive during the normal rut and was bred much later. I once saw a "viewer video" on an old hunting show years ago, think it was a Jim Shockey show, that showed a buck breeding a doe in early February. Video was not sent in from someone in the South. I want to say it was from Iowa or Kansas. It's like that line from Jurassic Park, "Nature will find a way".
